This game has a pretty decent story to it. You play as Nick Kang who was suspended indefinitely from the police force because of repeated incidnets of excessive violence and property damage. He was recruited by the E.O.D (Elite Operations Division), in which his over-the-line methods helped him succeed. The LA crime scene is Kang's prime target in the world. His father was killed in action and Kang is out for revenge.

First I'll cover the gameplay. This game is a mix of GTA and Max Payne when it comes to the gameplay. There's things like jacking cars, fighting pedestrians and taking free rides across the map until you feel like taking on a mission. Of course those are things that compare to GTA. Now the missions compare to those of Max Payne. And of course theres Bullet Time. Your end of game rating all depends on how good of a cop you are. As you perform duties as a police officer, your judged on being a good cop or a bad cop. Killing innocents or taking bad guys out with headshots score negative points. Things like arresting perps, nuetralizing foes with non-lethal shots or random crimes on the streets give you positive points. And according to your good cop/ bad cop standings, the story branches off at ceartain points in the story. You also need to watch your Civil Unrest Meter. Bad behavior will cause civil unrest. the higher the meter fills, the more angry the civilians become and the more violent they become. If the meter gets to the max, Law enforcement will take maters into thier own hands and come after you until they stop the madness. And just for the record, the map on this game is HUGE. Alot bigger than the Vice City or GTA 3 maps. This thing takes some time to cover. This game has several different endings depending on your good cop rating.

Now for the Audio. Im not too big of a fan of the music in this game. It was loaded down with old school and new rap. It had music from artists like Snoop Dogg, Coolio, Young Billionairs, and N.E.R.D. They did have a few Rock songs on this game which i did like from artists like Taproot and Deftones. The guns and other weopons did have an appealing sound. And the cars had much realistic sounds as well. This game had some very good voices too. It had top-nonch actors like Christopher Walken and Michelle Rodriguez.

Here is the graphics portion. The graphics on this game are preety good in my opinion. There is some gliches compared to a GTA 3 or Vice City. The character models are well done and the cutscenes are pretty descent. Of course there is car damage. The backrounds are pretty well done and the land really favors that of LA. There isnt really alot i can say about the graphics. They didn't blow me away but they werent bad. Maybe a little dated, but it didnt affect how much i liked the game.

GOOD + This game features a great story, has some good music from Deftones and other artists of that nature, and has sweet gameplay features like bullet time. Wait...and not to leave out...this game won the "Best Action Game" at the Spike TV video game awards and recieved a 9/10 from IGN.Com

BAD - This map is HUGE and takes a long time to cover all of LA, has WAY too much rap on the in-game soundtrack, and this game doesnt take long at all to beat and is very easy until the last chapter and takes a sharp turn into Pretty darn Hard.

Overall I had fun with this game, I give it an 8...out of 10.
