Ok, so there have been many Star Wars games. Some good, some bad. This is definitely one of the better ones. I reviewed this game on the xbox. Please take note : i am a huge Star Wars fan and i do not have xbox live. So i will not be talking about any online play.

Seriously, these are some of the best graphics i've seen on any console game. There is great looking explosions. From the tiny explosions, to the massive explosions caused by AT-ATs on Hoth. Yes, that is another awesome part of the graphics. The environments are all highly detailed and full of cool features. The onscreen map isn't to big and doesn't interfere with the gameplay, which is great. It is just the right size. The character models are all done really well. There will sometimes be shining effects off of the suits, say, if you're on beach or in the sun. This is really one of the best looking games i've seen in a long time. You can really tell Pandemic put a lot of time and effort into the overall presentation.

I'll start out this section with the controls. These are probably the best 3rd person shooter controls i've encountered on a console. They really feel just like a 1st person shooter like Halo, rather than a Max Payne or Armed and Dangerous. The whole game is based around capturing command posts. The are positioned all around the map and they are vital to your success. If you lose all of your command posts, you lose. If you don't try to go and capture the opposition's command posts, you lose. Even if you just sit and defend your own posts with pin-point accuracy, you will probably lose. You can't be a coward camper, you have to be aggressive. Now, there is online play, but considering i don't have broadband, and therefore i don't have xbox live, i couldn't play it. The splitscreen is great though. You can play against a friend, or with a friend via Co-op mode, and play through the whole story. The story mode is actually not very long though. If you are an experienced shooter person, then you should be able to breeze through the story in 3-5 hours. But, it is so fun, you will be playing it over and over and over. The multiplayer just adds more to the overall replayability. There are pretty much 4 different factions of people to choose from. You have your sniper, blaster rifle guy, your anti-vehicle man, and the vehicle man. All of which are extremely useful for most every fight. Although, i found myself going with the blaster rifle guy most of the time. The only bad thing i can say about the gameplay is that you cannot play as a Jedi, and you do not have any melee attacks. It really shouldn't affect you much though. But really, the gameplay in this game is great.

Well this is one of the parts of the review my bias may come in. The music is classic Star Wars(which is just awesome) and the weapon sounds and voiceovers are top notch. All of the guns have that great blaster sound we all remember from the Trilogy and the new movies. All of the music is full orchestral and won't dissapoint any Star Wars fan or, for that matter, anyone who plays the game. It's that good.

The other part of the review where my bias may come in, is this part. I'll just put it like this. The Star Wars series is renowned for its superb story and its amazing battles. Ok, keeping this in mind, you, the player, actually play through the whole Star Wars story playing all the major battles. Hoth, Endor, Kamino, all of the major plot points of the Star Wars universe, you play through. You even see parts of the movies while playing through the game. So, since you actually play through Star Wars, the story is the same, SUPERB.

Ok, here is one of the only bad parts about the game. Well, it isn't bad, but sometimes there are some clunkiness in the frame rate and some collision detection problems. While nothing too serious, it still shows up sometimes and you cannot ignore it. So, i must dock points off.

Other then a few extra modes and multiplayer, there really isn't much extra to this game. You can unlock some concept art and storyboards and stuff, but that's about it.

So, if you like Star Wars and you like shooters, you will absolutely love this game. Even if you don't like Star Wars, you will really appreciate the awesomeness of this game, and you to, will love it. So, either way, you should at least try this game out.

GOOD+ the game is really fun both in multiplayer and single player, the graphics are simply amazing, and the audio is awesome as well.

BAD- you can't use lightsabers or melee weapons, you can't play as any of the major characters.

Overall, I give this game a 9.5...out of 10.
