*note* throughout this review i will not talk about online play because i don't have xbox live, so if you do, disregard this review.
First, the graphics in this game are some of the best I've ever seen on the Xbox. Master Cheif's armor has a new look and new abilities. You can now fall from 5000 ft or so and you won't die. A bit unrealistic, but that's ok. There are some problems with pop-up and sometimes there may be some slow down when there is a lot of action on the screen. There is also a lot of light blooming which may hurt your eyes a little bit.
The audio in the game is also some of the best I've ever heard on the Xbox. Actually, it's some of the best music I've ever heard in a video game. It is all in live orchestra and some of it is even guitars and other various string instruments. Master Cheif still doesn't say much, but the other voices in the game are top notch. The gun sounds are great and pretty realistic, with some new covenant and human weapons.
The gameplay is the most important part of any game and unfortunately, this is where the game falters. I knew it wasn't going to be changed much from the original (which i gave a 10 to) and it wasn't much different except for dual weilding and a energy sword. But the thing I disliked about the story mode was playing as the Arbiter, an alien elite. I found myself shooting my teamates a lot. The enemy is also an alien, so I would end up shooting a teammate and die because I didn't have any help. This was very annoying. Other than that, the game was still pretty darn fun. The multiplayer is still the best part of Halo. Nothing is funner than playing kill the man with the sword with a few friends. If nothing else, pick the game up for the multiplayer. It is really the best part of the game. There are plenty of different modes to play in multiplayer like Capture the Flag, Slayer, Team Slayer, Oddball, and lots of others.
GOOD - graphics, audio, and multiplayer.
BAD - playing as the alien and i don't have xbox live
Overall, i give this game a 9...out of 10.
